Euro 2012: check out Ukrainian stadiums!
Remember how Yandex offered us a panorama tour around St. Petersburg last week? This week they went further and joined Europe’s preparations for the European Football Championship 2012. Yandex made it possible to visit the stadiums in Ukrainian cities Kiev, Donetsk, Lvov and Kharkov where the games will take place in less than two weeks!
The leader of the Russian search market Yandex has a maps feature very similar to that of Google. Yandex.Maps doesn’t have the global scale of the worldwide search giant, but for users in most Russian-speaking countries it offers some perks unavailable in Google: for example, Yandex provides precise maps of cities which include detailed routes and directions for public transportation.
In order to help those going to Euro 2012 navigate through Ukrainian football stadiums, and perhaps to popularize its street view feature called panoramas, Yandex made it possible to walk through the four Ukrainian arenas, look around and even climb the stairs to check out the view onto the field! Enjoy!
