...and also Delicious updates its search

Flickr is not the only Yahoo-service which decided to update their internal search. We wrote earlier about the updates Yahoo engineers did on Flickr, meanwhile the Delicious-team has been busy also.

Delicious announced it is rolling out several enhancements to Delicious. All enhancements are focussed on finding and sharing links.

There are three major changes Delicious made. The first one being the new search tools. Just as their collegues at Flickr they have renewed the search results. It now gives you a lot more content. There not just links you can see anymore, but content of for example Flickr and YouTube (with inline playback) is shown in the results.

When going to the search you immediately see some other changes. There is now a timeline and there are tag filtering controls which enable you to search within date ranges or filter the results by tag.

Delicious also decided to show the "Fresh Bookmarks". These are links in a special tab on the homepage which shows the most recently saved Delicious bookmarks.

The third big change is the social-aspect. You can now e-mail and Tweet bookmarks, making delicious more open for social media. Especcially the tweet-option can pay off. You can now not just Tweet an interesting link, you can also store it in Delicious in the same handling.
