New faces at Yahoo, Europe gets new marketing director

Yahoo is changing the faces of those in charge. After Carol Bartz took over last year Yahoo is slowly but steadily changing their ways.

Yahoo is planning a massive rebranding and marketing push and wants new faces to help them push. With several people be hired or replaced within the organization Yahoo Europe gets a new Marketing Director: James Tipple. With that he takes the place of Kristof Fahy who became international marketing VP. With that he takes the place of Kristof Fahy who became international marketing VP.

Tipple has a Telecom background being a former Vodafone employee and former BT Cellnet (O2) - employee.

The announcement of the appointment of Tipple comes with more changes in the organisation. Former executive at Young & Rubicam Penny Baldwin (on the left in the picture) was hired to become VP of global integrated marketing and brand management and Elisa Steele comes from NetApp (and before that Sun) to become chief marketing officer.

It's remarkable to see that the 'old' faces at Yahoo are quickly being replaced by new ones and that some of them are women. There is definitly a new wind blowing at Yahoo, but will it be in time..?
