Searchmonkey: 70m results viewed daily This month it's been one year since Yahoo launched two of their products which they are most proud of: BOSS and Searchmonkey. If you would ask a dozen people on the streets of Amsterdam not many would know about these products. That doesn't mean both products aren't used. Yahoo announced last week that BOSS is now serving 30 million queries a day while Searchmonkey gets 70 million enhanced results viewed daily. Yahoo announced some numbers about Searchmonkey: Yahoo also summarized changes they made to both products: With SearchMonkey, we’ve launched numerous valuable initiatives over the last year. We turned applications default-on for many sites to improve local , reference, and social searches. We also enabled publishers to more easily display enhanced results for video, games, and documents by adding a few lines of code. Additionally, as a part of our effort to promote a more meaningful understanding of the Web, we have continued to support semantic tech gatherings such as VoCamp." If you read the Yahoo announcement you would say both BOSS and Searchmonkey are huge successes. But are they really? Therefore the new poll on Searchcowboys is about these two products: have you used one of the two products in the last year? Let's find out what Europe is using! Comment |
