Unlock Your Car & Sign In to Facebook at the Same Time!
Most of us have at least two social network accounts (or even more!); and for security reasons, it is recommended to create different passwords for each social network. However, having to remember multiple passwords can be a massive pain in the neck! Therefore, the car company, Ford, together with the advertising & PR agency in Paris, Ogilvy Paris, developed a mobile app that can remember all your social network passwords and even log you in automatically from short distances via Bluetooth.
This Ford Keyfree Login app was primarily inspired by the Ford Keyfree system, a recent technology developed by Ford that enables the car owners to automatically unlock the cars whenever the owners are coming closer to their cars and lock whenever the owners walk away. Similar to the Ford Keyfree system, Ford Keyfree Login app enables social network users to automatically log into their social network accounts from their phones when they come closer to their computers, and log them out once they walk away. Too add more value, this app is created so intuitive that it can automatically configure to the language of your computer! This technology, however, is only available if you use Mac computer with Google Chrome.
So far, the app has only been launched on the France website of Ford; but they said it will go global once this app is successful on the European market. But to be honest, I don’t know about you, but I am not sure if I can ever trust a car company to keep all the passwords to my social network profiles though!
