LinkedIn 4x Better for B2B Leads than Other Social Networks In January 2012, Hubspot released a study about social network for lead generation, which showed that LinkedIn generated the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rate at 2.74%, almost 3 times higher (277%) than both Twitter (0.69%) and Facebook (0.77%). The new data which was revealed by David Meerman Scott in his blog last week shows even a bigger gap! Apparently, Linkedin does not lead 3 times higher but four times better for B2B leads than Facebook or Twitter. LinkedIn has probably the smallest amount of users and in my opinion the most boring social network compared to Facebook or Twitter (Well, it is the truth, isn’t it? But at least Linkedin is not too deserted like Google+), but looks like it generates more leads for business and customers than the two mega-social-networks! According to David Meerman Scott, LinkedIn generated the highest visitor-to-lead conversion rate at 2.60%, four times higher than Twitter (0.67%) and seven times better than Facebook (0.39%). These findings were shared to him by the inbound marketing manager of HubSpot, Rebecca Corliss. In general, the effectiveness of those social networks went down (compared to the stats in January), but Linkedin still leads the way! ![]() To be honest, the data did not surprise me, because we all know it goes along with the nature of LinkedIn as business-and-professionals-related-social-network. Besides, most content that you see on LinkedIn is mostly related to your works/business and therefore it helps business to generate more leads. Now with this data revealed, it is up for business on how they use LinkedIn effectively. As of February 2012, LinkedIn has more than 150 million users in more than 200 countries. About 23% of the users live in Europe and 17% are from Asia and Pacific. India holds the highest users of LinkedIn with 14 million users. So Indian marketers, better switched your social media strategy to LinkedIn now! Comment |
