Best Job - P&G Summer Olympics Campaign Brands do not want to miss out on promotional opportunities during the Olympic Games. P&G is no exception. Since the opening of the Summer Olympics in London is getting closer day by day, P&G has launched an Ad promotion combining two themes: Olympics and Mother’s Day.
Based on universal insights that Moms sacrifice a lot for the success of their children, P&G is planning to express its thanks to all mothers over the world during the Olympics. This praise is not only given to athletes’ moms, but also to all moms, who put in the effort to provide the best life for their children. A 2 minute film, named “Best Job”, was launched exclusively online for P&G Facebook fans on April 17th and said to be the first episode of the “Thank you Mom” Olympic Campaign series. There are 4 families in the “Best Job” from 4 cities - Beijing, London, Rio de Janeiro and Los Angeles. The film is telling us how great it is to be athletes’ moms. For instance, moms are preparing breakfast in the early morning, washing clothes, bringing their children to school, supporting and encouraging them on their way to becoming athletes. In addition, there are also many products from P&G appearing in the film. As a viewer, I don’t object to product placement. In my opinion, the promotion is done in a proper way.
