Hispanicize 2012 – The social media+ event of Latin America My entrepreneurial Miami based cousin Gina (remember this article) WhatsApp’d me 'all day' about her attending Hispanicize, the annual ‘red carpet’ social media, blogging, advertising, PR, and filmmaking event focused on Latin America. Apparently the 2012 edition has gained has a star or two on the 'WOW-scale' and subsequently being catered by an exquisit array of top Hispanic brand marketers, Latino and multicultural bloggers from all over the world and last but not least a couple of dozen eager multinationals like Google, Unilever, Disney and one of my personal favourites Dunkin Donuts (hey I know my pastry). So cousin Gina, considered by some of her peers as a potential Latinovator herself got some tickets and is already sticking it to me ‘in your face Ramcy’ - now I am the one drawing the dilemma card…Can I circumvent my (partially) Latin American DNA (don’t pin me down on the science part) and just say 'Nah I will pass'...just look at the attendance list and speakers. Attendance list – my top 10: Google Hispanic, Youtube Hispanic, Blackberry, Chevy, Unilever McDonald’s, Verizon, Ford, Wal-Mart, Dunkin Donuts (you noticed it closing the ranks right). Speakers - just a few
I guess it’s time for me to do some serious internal lobbying, dust off my frequent flyer coupons and check if Southwest Airlines (official airlines for Hispanicize 2012) or better yet its affiliates can get me a sweet deal, cousin Gina…Game On…where is Manny Ruiz when u need him. Comment |
