Twitter auto-translating feature – Powered by Bing Twitter, is there anyone who doesn’t know the name? Next to being a global platform it also has started experimenting recently with a new feature – translating tweets into various languages with Bing Translator. “A small percentage of users can see the option to translate the text of a tweet with Bing Translator as part of an experiment. We want to help people connect and discover what’s new – no matter where they are in the world or what languages they speak,” a Twitter spokesman told mashable. In order to translate a tweet, users can just click on it. So far, the translation works on Thai, Japanese and Korean, which can be translated into English. ![]() One thing that needs to be noticed is that Twitter is not the only social media site using the translation feature. Facebook introduced translation option last October, which allows users to translate posts and comments into their native language right in their feeds. ![]() Comment |
