Share an image on Twitter DIRECTLY I am not a regular user of Twitter. However, I login from time to time. Today when I went to my Twitter page, I just found out that we could share images directly. How convenient!
![]() The picture above just showed automatically to inform me of this new feature. It is very easy to see that the “picture upload button” is just on the left side of the location icon, and under the “new Tweet” box. With this new feature, you can easily share images with your followers. The images you upload will be scaled by Twitter automatically in order to fit the display panel of the new Twitter interface. (Techie Buzz) However, there are still many Twitter users uploading images through Flickr, Twitpic, and other third party image sharing sites. So Twitter still cannot stop supporting for those sites. But I think gradually more and more people will switch.
Its new feature also reminds me one of my previous articles “Sina Weibo – A Chinese Twitter clone?” I mentioned some unique functionalities of Sina Weibo, one of which was sharing images directly. Although now you only can upload images up to 3MB on Twitter ( for Sina Weibo, it is 5 MB), what Twitter has done so far really influences the advantages of Sina Weibo's English version. Will Twitter add other functionalities in the future, like videos, comments? Personally, I would answer “Yes”. What about you? Picture is from Twitter.
