We Do As Google Suggests

I'm one of those people that has to look at the keyboard while typing. As a result when using Google I barely notice the search terms suggested to me. However, apparently many users do notice and follow Google's suggestions.

Research performed by Latitude shows that since the introduction of Google Suggest in the UK in late March, search terms suggested by Google received a significant boost in search volume. This indicates many users trust Google to make relevant suggestions and will click on the keywords provides by the search engine.

What this means for SEO's is clear: pay attention to Google Suggest. Type your primary keywords into Google and see what suggestions come up. It's important to score well on these suggestions as it's likely your audience will be using them.
