
YouTube adds auto translation to captions Several months ago YouTube added captions and subtitles to YouTube video's. From that moment on you could add text to the video you've uploaded. Since then more and more video's have been 'pimped' with the annotions, whether you like it or not. Sometimes thought these annotations can be quit usefull. But when posted in a different language the your own they can be annoying. YouTube now gives us Europeans a solution for that problem: translate. According to the UK YouTube blog the only thing you have to do is click on the "CC" button in the right bottom corner of the screen and you can pick the language you want the annotations to be translated in. Probably YouTube uses Google Translate for this feature. The translations aren't always that good though... Comment |
