Jeeves goes pink for Breast Cancer Care

In the month October you are likely to see Jeeves, the butler from the Ask Jeeves search engine, in different outfits, which will all be pink. This is part of the deal Ask made with the charity Breast Cancer Care.

Ask is joing the Breast Cancer Care in their Breast Cancer Awareness month this October. Users of Ask Jeeves will not only see different pink outfits, they will also get the chance to show their support by using themed homepage skins, toolbars, quizzes and social media.

Ask has also set up a special Breast Cancer Care tribute page. On this page users can place messages for their loved ones. Some of the messages are placed on the homepage to attract more attention.

All the money which Ask Jeeves will earn by contributions through user activity will be donated to the Breast Cancer Care. Jeeves is aiming for over a million euros to be donated by the end of the month.

Users can earn stars by using different features like, setting a skin, taking a quiz, spreading the word, or downloading the toolbar. For each feature a user earns a star and for each start Ask Jeeves will make a donation.

Ask also plays the role of 'teacher' by giving information about Breast Cancer. The "Did you know" section answers questions like "What is breast cancer?", "What is the most common form of cancer in the UK?" and How do you check for Breast cancer?.

Finally, off course, the user can also donate to the Breast Cancer Care themselves.
