Citiservi wants to rival in local search, but needs content Some believe local search is the way to go, others think local will be mobile. Citiserve belongs to the first group. They believe a separate search engine for local information is the way to go. With the tool you can look for local businesses and information. Citiserve started because the founders thought it was difficult to find local information in the search engines and yellow pages. "so we decided to make our own tool to simplify the experience and help everyone find business information and product and service offers both online and in the real world." Originally the search engine was US Based, but they are now rolling out European editions, starting of with Italy and the UK. Both these countries are now available.  In the search engine its fairly easy to find businesses like plumbers but after that the search engine does need some work. It doesn't find a search marketer in London for example and I'm sure there are more than three lawyers in London… If that will change however remains to be seen, because it won't even find a lawyer in New York. Citiserve is also planning on launching in Germany, France and Spain. But really should get their present local search engines in order first... The fact that it says "all local information in your city or town" is worrying, technically there is no information, it's just a directory!
Personally I think <a href="http://www.city-visitor.com>City Visitor</a> is a better source of local information, it actually has information on the companies and areas.

The fact is that citiservi, not citiserve, is an European company, based in Spain and our main and first website launched was citiservi.es (where we have a huge database with more than 1MM of businesses).
In August opened citiservi.com (USA) and citiservi.com.mx (Mexico). And in September, around two weeks ago, launched citiservi.co.uk and citiservi.it.
The first thing that we do when launch a new version is to work hard on local search algorithm, stemmer, stop words... because there are many differences between languages. And that's what we are doing now.
We know our databases in UK and Italy are small yet, but will grow in a few weeks.
