Hardly any changes in European search shares

Even no news is news: Statcounter calculated that in the US the growth of Bing has slowed down when it comes to market share compared to other major search engines. Bing only grew 0,23% in the month of August.

In Europe there was hardly any movement at all in the market shares. Google gained a minor percentage (0,07%) which was won over Yahoo (0,06) and Bing (0,01). But the differences ar so small you can hardly call it a change.

In Mobile search there was a bigger shift to be noticed. Here Google lost market share (1,13%) in Europe to Yandex, which gained 1,68%. Yahoo and Seznam both lost minor percentages also where Altavista won 0,08%.

  • These numbers are totally WRONG! Bing has 31.3% of search and growing in the USA!
As for those garlic smelling europeans, who cares?
