Germans buying more online

Research performed by the GfK Group in their “WebScope Survey” shows that in 2008 Germans were spending 19% more online than in 2007. In total they spent €13.6 billion.

According to the GfK Group the rise had two main reasons:
- the number of online shoppers anbd buyers grew with 12% to 29.5 million
- the average spent per purchase rose with 7% to about €29.

The financial crises didn't affect the Germans so far. And that not only surprised the researchers, but also the researched. Most groups researched said they had spent more than they expected.
