Thoma Promny gets 40.000 euro fine for pulling a link bait with Gina Wild.
 He tried to get links via linkbait, but ended up paying for the links big time.

Yahoo Portal in UK shifts to Google Search
Yahoo decided to get a new search engine for their portal they handle together with BT. Instead of Bing they chose Google

Several European countries are opposing to book settlement deal while the Swiss privacy commissioner demands Google to close Streetview. Also six new European languages added to Google Translate.

The Search Engine Ranking Factors 2009
In the final section we talked about the SEOMOZ report. A report which shows how SEOs think how one should optimize. It shows conversion and links are important.

  • Well, it's not that Thomas or Gimahhot were fined to pay 40K. Michaela Schaffrath a.k.a Gina Wild sued them to pay 40K. Unfortunately the court of Hamburg is known for it's anti-internet decisions.
    By the way: great comment of Thomas "we got an offer of Dolly Buster. She would do this joke for 1500 Euro" :)
