Local Searchengines: Ilse.nl returned to its previous owners, once a search giant in Holland now becoming a portal. The domain name is now returned in license to 2 of the founders.
Paul.nl is a new local search engine, well not really, its a mashup which uses several search engines, just organizes the results in a different way. It does use some affiliate links though...

Google barometer: Google launched the "Google Barometer", which shows the economic 'mood' in the Netherlands based on Google insights and Google trends.

Rolf Broer, who works at Onetomarket, just released a very interesting article about Googlebot and its crawling capabilities. Rolf created several tests for the so called superior bot of Google to see how it reacts on particular setups of links and pages.
