Quick Recap of SES Berlin We were at SES Berlin last week where we did a combined show with Mediadonis' Webmasters on the Roof (Marcus Tandler) in the lobby of the hotel. A look back at SES Berlin showed a couple of very interesting presentations with Evert Veldhuijzen's PPC tricks as one of the highlights.

Telecom law approved by EU: we can set cookies There was a lot of talk about the new law the EU was planning on launching in which you had to ask for permission on every cookie you would set. The rule is now approved, but with a by-line: cookies acceptation can be on browser level.

Searchers using longer queries A Hitwise research shows searchers are using longer queries. What effect will that have on optimization? It could be interesting in the long run when search engines change the way they work, like how Bing is using branded search.
