Shownotes Searchcowboys on Webmasterradio - episode 11

Searchcowboys returned in this week on a different time than usual, 8PM instead of 7PM. A time which Bas and Roy enjoyed. If you would prefer this time you can actually help us get to that airtime by sending an e-mail to Brasco (listen to the show to find out).

Did you miss the live show? No worries, you can listen to the podcast below or at webmasterradio or download it. The shownotes are below. We are now also to be found on iTunes! So subscribe to our podcast and you'll never miss one again. The shownotes are below.

2nd section:

Google social search
Google launched social search this week. We talked about it a little last week, but now we can actually see what it does. Will this revolutionize the way we search and the way we optimize?

Deleted Tweets not searchable anymore within Twitter
If you now delete a tweet it is immediately also removed from the search index. And not just that, they are also removed from the API. That means that for example Tweetdeck will drop the tweet when restarted.

3rd section:

Again Google is being prosecuted again
In Germany YouTube executives are facing a criminal investigation. The allegations are about copyright infringement. Hamburg's prosecutor started the case against YouTube, and Google, after allegations were made by German music rights holders. Google is seeing more of these kind of charges lately. Will they be able to handle them all?

  • Good show last night guys. I voted for searchcowboys to air at 8! More time to eat and get domestic things done before launch. :)
