Zoekmachines moeten data na 6 maanden verwijderen Via DC: Volgens Bloomberg is er in 27 EU landen unaniem gestemd op een nieuw voorstel waarin staat dat Zoekmachines search-data binnen 6 maanden moeten verwijderen.
"The proposal, Article 29 Data Protection Working Party, requires "valid justification" to store any search data, and says 6 months is the maximum amount of time a search company like Google, Yahoo or Microsoft can store this data."
Tot dusver hebben de meeste searchbedrijven geantwoord dat zij graag het voorstel in willen zien. Google, Yahoo, Microsoft en Ask.com hebben al aanpassingen gemaakt aan de manier hoe ze de betreffende data opslaan en bewaren. Via SEL
