UK government 'selling' porn links?

A bit of a strange little news item that pops up today. The Britisch government must have been somewhat embaressed when the BBC called telling them they had a link on the Home Office website pointing to a porn website.

No, the BBC wasn't selling links to porn sites. The link that pointed to the porn site used to be a link to a 'decent' website. That site however was sold and now was selling porn.

The link was placed on the Office for Security and Counter Terrorism site and should have lead to the Technical Advisory Board. The link now is removed. A Home Office spokeswoman said there would be an investigation into the matter.

Still its very strange that a link like that would appear on a government site. Either they don't check links enough or the link was placed as a practical joke of some sort. Or someone is actually selling the links without the knowledge of their managers. Or was it just spam?
