YouTube programmers are pretty busy these days. In an effort to make YouTube profitable Google is 'upgrading' the features of the service. With the ads more and more showing up on YouTube a way to keep the customer happy.
This week the YouTube blog announced several new features. Like Searchme and other blogs have done before, YouTube is now "tweetable". With one click you can send a video to Twitter.
But there is more
Mobile integration: YouTube created a new mobile landing page. The page is "a lot more smooth and intuitive" then before.
Log in: YouTube has made it easier to ligin for users who already have an Google account. They created a one-place sign-in.
More Social-networking: Next to the Twitter button YouTube now also offers the ability to send an invite or a personal note to a YouTube member (username) or an e-mailadress. A defined friend can also be instanted messaged.
HD: More and more HD content is showing up on YouTube. Putting up HD videos took some effort with having to edit HTML-codes. YouTube has now simplified this with a URL parameter. "We want to give you more control over how your video looks, including the option of it being eye-blazingly clear (HD), so we've now added an official URL parameter (hd=1) for sharing HD links"
