Dutch IAB Search Taskforce sets up RFP The Dutch are very active in their communities. The IAB (Interactive Advertsing Bureau) is an independent body and knowledge platform for the Internet Marketing Industry, and part of the international IAB. The Dutch IAB has a Taskforce Search which focuses primarily on the Search industry in The Netherlands. The Taskforce represents about 20 Dutch Search Marketing agencies. In an effort to professionalize the Dutch industry even more it has now set up a Request for Proposal (RFP). With the RFP, which can be downloaded (in Dutch) from the IAB-website, the taskforce hopes to help companies who want to hire search agencies in making the right choices and to make the market more transparent. ![]() Chairman Wolter Tjeenk Willink explains: “The Taskforce for example hands out information about the guidelines of search engines concerning for example different ways of optimizing and the risks of breaking the rules. We see it as one of our tasks to inform advertisers about choices, consequences and results of searchoptimization and –advertising. To help the advertisers with the next stepwe have set up this RFP which clears choices advertisers have to make. The RFP should mainly be seen as an information tool and a step to more transparency we are trying to create between search engine agencies and advertisers.” The new board of the Taskforce, which was only recently installed, will be presenting more plans at Search Engine Strategies in Amsterdam in March.
