Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Launches Facebook app, Uitzwaaien
Saying goodbye is never an easy thing; but not for the visitors of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. A new Facebook app called “Uitzwaaien” (English: waving goodbye) has recently been launched by the world's number 4 top airport. With this app, passengers can digitally wave to friends or family members who are going on a journey.
Friends and family can collectively record their waves to the persons who are leaving through webcam and upload them on Amsterdam Schiphol Airport’s Facebook page. Passenger will receive a nice compilation of all the waves on the monitor of his or her smartphone right before departure. Passenger will also see the waving clip on big screens in the departure hall.
Uitzwaaien app is designed and developed by Dutch communication agency, FHV BBDO. The agency is accountable for online and offline promotional campaigns of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
