Mark Zuckerberg – The most famous passerby The name, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, continuously pops up in all kinds of Chinese media in recent months. Previously it was Zuckerberg’s trip to China, then Facebook went to the stock market, then he got married, and now he becomes the most famous passersby in a Chinese commercial released last Sunday. In a documentary titled Chinese Police released recently by CCTV, at 30 seconds, CEO of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan shockingly appeared as passerby. Zuckerberg appears for 2 seconds with a funny facial expression(see video from Youtube). ![]() Then Zuckerberg confirmed that it was taken on his trip to Shanghai on March 27th with his girlfriend (now wife). He still “remembers walking by those police officers in Shanghai and wondered what they were video taping themselves for” ![]() Soon the word “the most famous passerby” listed on 44 in the recent top Baidu keyword, with a daily search volume 632. When searching the Chinese translation of “Zuckerberg” on Baidu Trend, Zuckerberg got higher exposure because of his appearance in the video. ![]() Since Facebook is still banned in China, no wonder Andrew Jones writes: “The irony of Zuckerberg’s two-second appearance in the commercial hasn’t been neglected, since Facebook is still banned in China” Nobody can predict the future of Facebook in China, but apparently most Chinese really like Zuckerberg after all that exposure. *Image is from wohuia Comment |
