CNN is buying Mashable!

Breaking news from SXSW 2012! According to an anonymous source, CNN will buy Mashable for $200 million and the announcement is expected to be tomorrow. This update was brought by Reuters blogger, Felix Salmon.

So far there is no further information so far other than the expected amount of acquisition. However, the acquisition is possibly happening, seeing that Mashable and CNN has been working together in delivering news.

It is not the first time for a top online blog to be bought by news channel. Online technology site, TechCrunch, was also bought by AOL a couple of years ago.
