The X-factor dominates the UK search, in real time Maybe getting Simon Cowell as a judge on what tweet is important would be a good idea. It would shine a very different light on the real time Google results. Last night the X-factor reached it climax when "Joe" was crowned winner of the song contest. The show was watched by millions, but followed by billions. The winner, Joe McElderry, was already predicted as a winner by Hitwise, using numbers from around the web. They looked at visits to the X-factor website. There they could see that the interest for McElderry was biggest. ![]() Other ways which showed the popularity of the show was off course the trending topics on both Google and Twitter. Both sites saw "X-factor" go trending. Google trends even showed the X-factor go trending on the .com site and therefore made it to the homepage. ![]() Seachers for the X-Factor saw peeks every weekend over the past weeks. It was therefore to be expected that this weekend searches would rise sky high. The weekend of November 15th however still stays one of the most successful searches for the X-factor. ![]() Comment |
