Dutch Advertising agency stops selling banners A new step in advertising in the Netherlands? WebAds, an interactive advertising agency (who also does ads on Searchcowboys) has decided to stop selling full banners. With this step they move away from 'old style advertising' online. Managing partner of WebAds Tjeer Kooij said: "The Full Banner is too small, has little impact and offers too little creative possibilities. Also the Skyscraper, another icon of internet history, will probably soon be replaced. Other formats like the Leaderboard or the Rectangle have taken the place of the banner. These larger formats will give advertisers more visibility and more options for creativity. We see a trend of larger formats. In the future making money on websites will be done less with banners and more with other forms like specials, content integration or sponsoring." What do you think, what is the way to make money online in the future? CommentRelated tweets
