
E-mail scam compromises Gmail, Yahoo, AOL and Hotmail Earlier this week the BBC showed that over 10.000 hotmail accounts were compromised with all the usernames and passwords exposed. A Google spokesman told the BBC: "We recently became aware of an industry-wide phishing scheme through which hackers gained user credentials for web-based mail accounts including Gmail accounts. As soon as we learned of the attack, we forced password resets on the affected accounts. We will continue to force password resets on additional accounts when we become aware of them." The BBC reports that a total of 30.000 accounts were posted at the website Pastebin. There were different list, the first one being the 10.000 Hotmail adresses, while the second and third lis (discovered by Google) also shows Gmail, Yahoo and AOL- adresses. CommentRelated tweets
