Is Vodafone replacing Google with Yahoo?

The world of search is a strange world, so is the mobile world. You can never be sure of your position in the market so it seems.
Yahoo seemed nearly dead six months ago. But meanwhile Yahoo is setting up new services, improving their existing services and closing deals left and right. Now it seems that Yahoo might just give a push to Google in the mobile search world.
Rumours are that when the contract between Google and Vodafone expires later this year it won't be renewed. Chances are Vodafone might go for Yahoo! as their default mobile search engine.
Vodafone and Yahoo are already partners when it comes to advertising on Vodafone handhelds in the UK. The two made a deal on that in 2006.
Yahoo already has similar deals with T-Mobile and Telefonica. Therefore when the deal is actually made Yahoo! is slowly but surely taking a big step in gaining market in mobile search. With the ever growing mobile market a very interesting move.
This deal and Yahoo's other actions in the last months might suggest that either Yahoo is stretching their back and are trying to regain their market position or that Yahoo might actually be preparing for another step towards Microsoft. Yahoo might just surprise us...
