Google biggest mobile search engine in Europe

Every month webbrowser Opera looks at the state of the mobile web. They take a look at the worldwide usage of mobile internet and focus on specific areas. Opera off course only looks at users who are using the Opera-browser.

Numbers presented by Opera show that in Europe Google is the most used search engine on a mobile device. Only in Russia Google is outplayed by Yandex. In all other countries users tend to use Google as their default search engine.

Other websites that are visited a lot on a mobile device in Europe are Facebook, YouUbe, Wikipedia and surprisingly enough Yahoo. A quick view on the list of most visited sites in countries with the biggest use:
