Let's party with Vodafone Party Starter!

A couple of weeks ago, Vodafone Netherlands launched a mobile app called Party Starter, which gives the users a chance to win two or more free tickets to the three biggest music festivals in the Netherlands: Sensation, Welcome to the Future, and Mysteryland. How does it work?

Everyday, one person will be announced the daily winner. A daily winner is the person who is able shake their phone the longest within 24 hours. However, users must shake according to the rhythm of the music that is given. The app will automatically send the user out of the game is the shake is constantly "too slow" or "too fast". So it is not that simple, fellas!

Each daily winner will then receive two free tickets to one of the festivals that he/she chooses! (To make it clearer, Sensation is not available anymore; BUT this week you still have a chance to win tickets for Welcome to the Future! The competition to win Mysteryland tickets will be available starting on 6th of August 2012).

To make it more fun, at the end of each period, one daily winner with the longest shake-time throughout the whole competition will win 4 deluxe tickets to the chosen festival. Cool right?

On another note, I won last week, so I and a friend will be at the “Welcome to the Future” this Saturday! WOOHOO!

Trust me, it was not easy to win; the competition is tough and people will do anything to get free stuff! Some  daily winners before me even shook their phones for more than 20 hours, just to win two tickets! I was quite lucky because nobody was enthusiastic to compete me on that day, so I only had to shake my phone for two hours (yeah right, ONLY two hours!). Besides free festival tickets, users can also win real tones, tracks, and sms/internet packages from Vodafone.

If you have nothing to do this week and desperately want to attend at least one of those most-talked-about-festivals this summer, I say join and shake! Perhaps I will see you this Saturday at “Welcome to the Future”? :-)
