Not enough sleep? If you often have trouble sleeping or sleep through alarms, well, there’s an app you might find very useful! A start-up called SleepBot helps you track and manage your sleep so that you know when to go to bed, when to wake up and how much sleep you are missing. SleepBot is an award-winning free Android app designed for those who don’t get enough sleep, who work or study at irregular hours (many students will understand me here!), or those who simply want to take their precious hours of rest more seriously. The app offers an easy way to track and analyze your sleeping patterns. To start tracking your sleeping time you need to click a “go to sleep” button on the screen of your phone – the app will collect data which you can later see on your cell or on the website. Starting the app every time you go to bed may seem like a chore – until you realize that before going to bed most people look at their phone anyway to check the alarm for tomorrow. And SleepBot, among other thing, allows you to set multiple alarms. The info gathered by the app when you are sleeping is translated into stats and graphs. You can see things such as trends in your sleep over time, average amount of time you spend in bed, how many hours of sleep you have missed, and so on. You can also add comments to your entries (“went to party”, “played tennis”) to help you see how different activities affect your sleep. Besides that, the app gives you some useful tips for good and healthy sleep. The developers of SleepBot Jane Zhu and Edison Wang are working on new features such as movement recognition and the ability to use #hashtags in your sleeping stats, Mashable reports. What do you think about the app? Would you use it? Let us know in the comments, and have a good sleep tonight! ![]()
