Create a 360-degree Panoramic Image with Your Phone! Imagine you are on vacation in New York and there you are, standing at 7th Avenue Times Square, making pictures of every building, ad, billboard, light; basically everything you see there (duh, you are at Times Square!) Isn’t it better to make a panoramic photo of everything around the spot you are standing at? Now with SpinCam app, you are able to make 360-degree images from your phone! Of course you know Google Street View, right? (If you don’t know what Google Street View is, click here). Basically the images that SpinCam produces work the same way like Google Street View: you spin the image to see the 360-degree view of the street. To make that picture, you just have to hold your phone, spin around the circle, and voila! ![]() The 360-degree images that you create with SpinCam are saved on your phone and can also be shared with your friends on the application and through Facebook (Yet, as you might know, Facebook does not support such spin-image, so what you will share is the link of the webpage where your image is stored). Like Instagram, the SpinCam has “Featured” and “Liked” sections where you can browse through popular Spins shared by other users. Who knows this application will be as big as Instagram (but hopefully they will not sell themselves to Facebook like what Instagram did yesterday!) Too bad, SpinCam is only available for iPhone users, so as usual, Android users have to wait until they can experience this app. However, don’t worry Android-fellas; I heard the developers are currently working in developing the Android version of the app, so be patient! Cool concept though for street views a panoramic 360 photo camera attachment would work better as you wouldn't need to move with your phone which produces shaky images. With pano camera all is done at once. GoPano is one example..
