Google and Orange partner up in Europe Google and Orange have signed a deal in which they partner up in Europe. Orange will be making Google services available across Europe on many handsets Orange sends out. In the UK and France Orange will also be pushing relevant content from Orange's own mobile portal. The services will be tailored to the specific handsets and users. “Google Mobile App makes it easier than ever for people to find and use information that matters to them when they’re on the move. Partnering with Orange is a great opportunity for us to provide their customers across Europe with instant access to the web.” Orange audience and advertising executive, Xavier Perret: "The people who want Google will have direct access. We don't see it as just one device and one big service. We see it as being able to really make the difference with the right mix – depending on the segments of the market – between all these partners, especially web providers, Google being one of them, and the consumer expectations of how they want to use them." New handsets by Orange are expected in the next couple of months. These handsets will have the new Google functions available. CommentRelated tweets
