Microsoft closing Soapbox This weekend Bing decided to start a "Bing wants your Jingle" contest on YouTube. Yes, on YouTube, the video-sharing website of its biggest competitor. It was one of the hints towards what was coming: the closing of Soapbox, Microsofts very own video-sharing website. Soapbox closing is a sign that Microsoft maybe doesn't see how it could be winning the competition with YouTube, however it may be less 'severe' than that. Soapbox only accounted for 5 percent of MSN Video streams. And Microsoft will continue to support that service. With 88 million unique users each month that service does have a future. Comment |
