Another Twitter search engine, now its Bing

If you want to search through Twitter you will have no trouble finding a search engine for it. Real time search engines are popping out everywhere. It seems as if only Google still doesn't have one.
In cooperation with Federated Media and Twitter, Microsoft launched their Twitter Search engine: BingTweets. This 'search engine' mashes up the results of Bing and Twitter search. Bingtweets.com is a separate search engine, and will run on its own domain, not bing.com.
A couple of weeks ago we already saw the set up for this appearing in Bing when Twitter results of 'influentials' worldwide were integrated in Bing Search.
However, this search engine looks more interesting than it really is. In the main central area the bing-results of your search are shown, on the left there is a moving section with tweets about your search. So two different search engines next to each other. Its not integrated or 'fusion' between the two what so ever. Also, if you change the search in Bing, the tweet-search doesn't change with it, you have to use a different search box for that. The page looks nice but if its a real add on to other twitter search engines is doubtfull. Besides that you would expect the Twitter search option to be a part of the actual Bing -site, maybe even as an optional function or an add on, not as a separate website.

I.m still a fan of my greasemonkey script for Firefox (integration of live twitter results with the old fashioned Google "history of the web" search ;-)). But this new one looks pretty nice to me. Well done Bing
