One week of Bing

At the Hitwise-blog Robin Goad has provided the first 'actual' numbers on Bing-usage in Europe. Bing as expected took second place after the almighty Google. But the market share still isn't big.

After the launch the numbers went up for the first three days and then went down again to settle at abouyt 3,15% market share. The biggest gain Bing found in the average visit time which increased to 8,5 minutes.

People are primarly searching for brands on Bing, as almost everywhere in Europe "Facebook" was one of the most search for terms.

Bing mostly sent traffic to Entertainment sites and shopping and classifieds. The table below lists the top industries receiving traffic from Bing in the UK last week.
