Microsoft internally testing Kumo

In the coming days Microsoft is testing their newest effort to challenge Google: Kumo.
Microsoft will be testing the new search engine technology internally. It will be redirecting "internal" live.com traffic to Kumo to give employees a chance to test.
Speculations that Kumo was about to launch were followed yesterday by an internal e-mail to Microsoft employees announcing the new site and service.
"Kumo.com exists only inside the corporate network, and in order to get enough feedback, we will be redirecting internal live.com traffic over to the test site in the coming days." wrote Satya Nadella, senior VP of research of online services division.
The name “Kumo” translates means "cloud" or "spider" in Japanese. This is an indication of the way the search engine is supposed to work. Nadella wrote: "We believe we can provide a better and more useful search experience that helps you not just search but accomplish tasks."
On Searchengineland Danny Sullivan analyzed the new search engine. There were some screenshots attached. See below to get a picture of what the testing Microsoft employees can expect.
With Kumo Microsoft takes again another shot at Google, again with a new name. One of the things Microsoft will have to do better is to get people 'familiar' with their brand. Changing the name every couple of years won't help. On the other hand, a 'fresh start' could make a difference.

The client should know that SEO is like any normal business strategy, start small, set targets and progress. The SEO should have managed the expectations of the client.
