How reporters can use Google News

Fri 4 September 2009 09:07, Bas van den Beld

Google News is an interesting feature for both press, publishers and users. As a user you can find the latest information and for a reporter the benefits can go both ways: they can find (sometimes local) newsitems but even more important (for the publishers) is the fact they can push their own news.

Getting into Google News for some is complicated. It does raise a lot of questions. For example, does changing your name to one with the name of your city in it help you target local audience? The answer is no, it's all about the article.

In this video Google Developer Maile Ohye explains some more about Google News. Very handy video.

Though I admire @mattcutts, I don't agree with him on all matters. Because Matt serves Google while I serve our news network :-)
