
Its Birthday time: 1 year of Chrome, 10 years of Blogger Google is celebrating two birthdays these days. On September second it was one year ago that they launched their browser Chrome. Blogger was released in August 1999 and already celebrates its tenth birthday. To celebrate Bloggers birthday Google is giving away presents. These 'presents' are mostly smart give aways they set up with partners. Socialvibe for example offers Blogger users the option to raise money for charity by adding a gadget to their blog. On Blogger Buzz the full list of presents can be read back. ![]() With that percentages within the one year of existince it has surpassed 'oldies' like Opera and Netscape and its closing in to Safari which has a 4.07% reach. There is no doubt that Chrome's market share will be rising in the next years. Especcially because Google this week also announced a deal with Sony. The Japanese computer maker will be putting Chrome next IE as one of the standard browsers on Vaio laptops, something Hewlett-Packard, Dell and Lenovo will also be doing next year.
