Google opens office in Croatia

The dominance of Google in Europe is big. Yet not every country has a Google-office. That's especcially the case in South-East Europe. Google however now feels it needs to be there in person, so they opened up offices in Croatia.

From the Google office in Croatia all operations in the region will be handled. This will mean countries like Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Slovenia.

Though Google is biggest in search, Google wants to increase their advertising share in the region. Local webportals like B92 and Index are now bigger when it comes to investments made in campaigns.

The growing popularity of Adwords and the mis-management of many Adwords-campaigns are reason for Google to move to Croatia. According to Google's regional manager Suknaic, Google's main concern is raising awareness about the importance of search among Croatian and regional companies.
