Google Earth flies us to the moon

At the day that it was 40 years ago that Neil Armstrong was the first man to take steps on the moon Google has followed in his footsteps.

Google launched their newest addition to Google Earth: the moon. Now you can explore the terrain Armstrong and Aldrin walked on.

Google Earth flies us to the moon

Google Earth has implemented several layers with photos from both manned and non-manned missions. You can choose between different Appollo missions or turn on the Historical Maps layer to see maps that NASA itself used in the Apollo missions.

It really looks very nice and gives you a sence as if you are on the moon yourself. Google has tried to give you as much freedom as possible by allowing you to choose different options or just fly around on the 3D terrains.
