Webmaster Central promoting Adwords in France

A quite remarkable news item found on AccuraCast yesterday: If you are a French website owner and you're not running Adwords chances are Webmaster Tools will be trying to change your mind.

Webmasters get a message saying its worth to give Adwords a try and an offer off 100 euros free credit within Adwords is done. The message also contains a list of advantages of advertising via AdWords.

This promotional 'stunt' by Google is another sign that Google is no longer the company who doesn't feel any economic pain. This kind of aggressive targeting is without a doubt done with financial goals in mind. With the sudden release of webmaster apps yesterday its another step by Google made to get more business done.
