Norway favorite for Eurovision, says Google

Traditionally one of the biggest events in Europe is the Eurovision Songcontest. Countries from around Europe compete with each other trying to win a song contest.

The contest will this year be organized in Moscow. Next week 42 competitors battle in two rounds. Like every year there is a lot of speculation who will win. Google this year decided to get into the speculations.

Using on the embeded Google Trends feature we talked about before the Dutch Google department set up a special website on which the popularity of the different contestants can be followed.

A table ranks the most searched for competitors and Google also shows a graph which shows the relative popularity of a contestants over a specific period of time. This way you might be able to predict who will be the winner. For now Norway seems to be the winner, with Turkey, Greece and France following.

Google wasn't finished with the website. They also set up a special YouTube channel in which videos from the different contestants are placed. The channel is partly integrated in the special page, so is a Google news section which shows the lastest news about the Eurovision songcontest. See the special embedded feature:
