Jaguar or Jaguar? Google Images knowsYet another new feature came out of the Google developers yesterday. In case you've missed it: Google Labs now has "Similar Images". With "Similar Images" Google now can 'see' the differences between an image of a Jaguar car or a Jaguar animal. Underneath an image a link to 'similar images' is placed. By clicking the link Google will find similar images to the one you chose. With this feature, though still in beta, Google makes a big step towards more understanding the real thoughts behind a search. Google can now 'see' the difference between images. It's not just the content of the picture that Google analyses, its also the type of the picture. Is it a funny one? Google will find a funny picture. Is it a drawing? Similar images will all be drawings. Though it seems like a small thing, the new feature is actually a big step Comment |
