Find crimes in Berlin

Google Maps is used for a lot of different purposes. To find the location of a company, check a holiday location or... find crimes.

German newspaper The Beliner Kurier has created a Google Maps mashup of crime in Berlin. The map shows where different crimes have taken place.

Different markers mark the kind of crime committed. When clicking on the marker an information window opens with the police report for the crime.

The different kind of markers are:

red fire (arson)
blue police car (transport crime)
black fist (violent crime)
hammer (vandalism)
black mask (robbery)
flashlight (theft)
green policeman (all other crimes)
