Belgium has to wait for its Google centre It was supposed to be finished by the end of 2008. But Belgium will have to wait for its Google centre a little bit more. According to Belgian Google-boss Erik Portier construction the new buildings will hopen halfway 2009. The French-Belgian government is building a “Digital Innovation Valley” in the village Henegouwen Mons. The valley should be the new house of a big Google datacenter. The project was supported by the Wallonic government for 12,5 milion euros. Apparently the delay is caused because of several reasons. Plans have changed a lot and construction is held back by flooding. Meanwhile Microsoft is preparing to open their new centers in the city of DouDou in March. CommentRelated tweets
