Google Suggests the weather

Google keeps on improving their products. And Google is getting faster and faster. They want to speed up the web and speed up the results using real time search. Their newest addition gives you results before you've even finished typing in your query.

Google introduced universal search features in Google Suggest. This could lead to the example Google gives themselves. You search for the weather in Belgium and you get the weather in your Google suggest. Google takes it beyond the weather and also offers flight information, definitions,  local time, area codes, package tracking, answers, calculator, currency and unit conversions.

Next to adding universal search features to Google Suggest Google also released "Quick Scroll", a Chrome extension. With this extension you can perform the same search you did in the page you visit after clicking on the result. In the lower right hand corner of the browser  you get a black box with text snippets relevant to your query. When clicking it you get directed to the right place on the page directly.

  • Hopefully its better than the Yahoo weather app that comes with the iPhone, it usually updates well after the rain has passed...

not the best why can't they get the results to show local times when searching for queries such as "london time"
